What We Believe

The Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ is committed to the truth of God’s Word and to following the teachings and example of Jesus Christ. Here is a simple overview of what we believe:

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired and trustworthy Word of God. It is our foundation and the ultimate authority for what we believe, how we live, and how we understand God’s plan for salvation.

2 Timothy 3:15–17

One God

We believe there is one God. He has revealed Himself as our Father, through His Son, Jesus Christ, and through the Holy Spirit.

We believe Jesus Christ is God who came to us in human form. Jesus is fully God and fully human, and through Him we can know and experience God personally.

Sin and Salvation

We believe every person has sinned and needs a Savior. Because of His love and grace, God provided salvation through Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for our sins.

Salvation is a gift of God that we receive through faith in Jesus Christ and by responding to His plan of salvation.

The Gospel

The Gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ: Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again.

We believe we respond to the Gospel through:

• Repentance — turning away from sin and turning toward God.
• Water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ — identifying with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
• The baptism of the Holy Spirit — receiving the Spirit of God, with speaking in tongues as the initial sign that accompanies this experience.

These experiences are not simply religious traditions; they are part of the biblical plan God has given for us to enter into a new life in Christ.

Christian Living

We believe following Jesus affects every part of our lives. Christians are called to love God, love others, and live in a way that reflects the character of Jesus.

We believe holiness involves both our heart and our daily lives. Our worship should be genuine, joyful, and centered on God.

We also believe the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit—including spiritual gifts, healing, and miracles—are still available and active in the church today.

The Future

We believe Jesus Christ will return for His Church. We look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the final judgment.

Those who belong to Christ will receive eternal life, while those who reject God will face eternal separation from Him.

Our hope is in Jesus Christ and His promise to return for His people.
